This morning the Lord-Lieutenant visited the Salvation Army volunteers preparing gifts for children in Inverclyde, who would otherwise be without a present at Christmas. This year more than 800 children with be supported, with donations of toys and funds coming from across the community, all based on referrals from Social Services and others, Maureen Pentland in the red top has been organising this wonderful and much-needed support for more than thirty years!
