Visit of HRH Earl of Wessex to Greenock

HRH Earl of Wessex Patron of the Greenock Arts guild visted the site of the new Theatre on 24 November 2010.

"HRH The Earl of Wessex,Patron of The Greenock Arts Guild,visited the site of the new Theatre on 24th November,2010. The theatre will be built on Greenock's historic waterfront and will be the centrepiece of the district's substantial regeneration programme..The project will cost £10m and funds have been donated by Public organisations and Private subscription.

A reception was held at the Custom House adjacent to the site of the theatre where HRH named the new theatre The Beacon Arts Guild.HRH will play a major role in support of the new theatre and his presence in Inverclyde will considerably help this excellent project".
